Established in 2002, Ministry Ideaz has grown its business to provide a variety of hand-crafted ministry essentials to witnesses in over 180 countries. Based in Quito, Ecuador, Ministry Ideaz recently published an article on staying healthy while pioneering on sunny days.
Working as a pioneer is a rewarding exercise. However, in the course of your pioneering, exposure to the day’s heat is potentially dangerous and harmful to your health. Being prepared for high temperatures will help you keep heat exhaustion and other health concerns at bay.
1. Drink plenty of water. Always carry your own fresh water regardless of how long you will be spreading the good news. Slowly sip water during the day to maintain a healthy hydration level. Additionally, you can store an iced cooler in your van with extra bottles of water.
2. Rest when you need to. Plan to take a lunch break at noon, when it is hottest. Select a cool environment to relax and have your meal. If you can’t find such a place, an open restaurant, one with lots of circulation, will be just fine. Avoid sugary drinks as they are very dehydrating.
3. Know the warning signs of dehydration. Signs of dehydration include fatigue, dry mouth, and dizziness. When you feel dehydrated, discontinue the mission. Locate a cool place where you can relax and drink water. Do not recommence work until you feel well enough to continue.
